Abstract:
Judge John E. Jones, III, is best known for his presiding role in the landmark Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District case, in which the teaching of intelligent design in public school science classes was ruled to be unconstitutional. Judge Jones will speak on the role of judicial independence within the context of his service on the bench and his role in the Kitzmiller decision.
