Design Internship

Time commitment

Approximately 3 to 4 hours a week during the spring semester. The ideal candidate would continue in the fall semester.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong academic or persional interest in the Themester 2022 focus on "Identity and Identification"
  • Professional interest in developing design skills
  • Familiarity with InDesign or other design software
  • Familiarity with Photoshop or other photo-editing software
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and generate ideas
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with peers, staff and faculty
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Willingness to create and/or work with established templates
  • Interest in exploring social media animations a plus

 

Duties + responsibilities

 

  • Work with communications interns to create and implement a social media plan, specifically on Instagram
  • Use InDesign and/or Photoshop create promotional materials that could include social media images, programs, flyers, posters or print advertising

 

Compensation

The Themester internship is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $12 an hour.
