Themester 2018 has posted its preliminary list of fall courses. Themester 2018 focuses on the theme "Animal/Human," with programs and activities exploring the interrelationship of humans and non-human animals.
Courses are drawn from throughout the College departments. This fall's courses include LING-L 214 Animal Communication, ENG-L 208 The Animal in Literature and Film, and BIOL-L 423 Brain, Behavior, and Evolution.
As part of the liberal arts tradition, Themester courses encourage students to question critically, think logically, communicate clearly, act creatively, and live ethically. Students consistently report that Themester courses and events allow them to understand how topics can be approached from different perspectives. Themester challenges them to consider the complexity of a topic beyond their initial assumptions.
Registration for fall 2018 courses will begin in April.
