Brain, Behavior, and Evolution

Course Description

In this class, we will focus on the evolution of animal nervous systems, and the consequences for animal behavior. We will study invertebrate and vertebrate nervous systems, with a focus on comparative neuroanatomy and physiology. In particular, we will cover topics such as experimental methodology, homology, sensory specializations, evolutionary processes, and neural control of behavior.
