Joelle Jackson is a second-year Wells Scholar from Bloomington, Indiana, dual majoring in Anthropology and Folklore + Ethnomusicology with a minor in Theatre. Outside of Themester, she is a member of the IU Journal of Undergraduate Research Social Studies Student Editorial Board. Over the summer, she served as a Media Intern for the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, and as a Teaching Assistant Intern for Intensive Freshman Seminars. Last semester, Joelle worked as a Communications Intern for a Virginia Lt. Governor campaign. She is interested in internet folklore, as well as the intersection of social justice and the performing arts.
