While First Thursdays have traditionally been held on the IU Arts Plaza around the Showalter Fountain, the Fall 2020 festivals will take a different form in response to public health considerations and university policies regarding COVID-19. On September 3rd and October 1st, the A&H Council and friends will present a series of discrete interactive arts and humanities stations stretching roughly from the Musical Arts Center to the Arboretum. These First Thursdays “Trails” will carry on the spirit of our larger festivals by offering unique opportunities for creative exploration and engagement, but their focus on small-group and individual activities will allow for proper social distancing and public safety measures.
