- Course Description
In this class, we will focus on the evolution of animal nervous systems, and the consequences for animal behavior. We will study invertebrate and vertebrate nervous systems, with a focus on comparative neuroanatomy and physiology. In particular, we will cover topics such as experimental methodology, homology, sensory specializations, evolutionary processes, and neural control of behavior. Prerequisite: BIOL-L 111 and L112.
